Men what does this mean?

this friend of friend, has been facebooking me for months now flirting with messages and ims yet we've never met. today i finally wanted to let him know if like to meet up and hang out sometime.. when i told him hey ive been meaning to tell you something blah blah in a fun playful way. He's like you dont need to tell me I'm not dumb, I already know. Like saying he knows I'm crushing on him. and then he signs off. why flirt with me and then say I've known this whole time and although u dont want to meet me or call me you cont the game knowing I have a crush? Also next time i talk to him, what do i just act like nothing happened? Im not hurt or anything like that just annoyed that I can take a hint hes not into me but what i dont get is why keep on with the game?
