Why was the book The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton banned?

i am doing a project on banned books, and this is the one i chose. i'm supposed to give a speech about why it SHOULD be banned, and i have no idea what to say (i've never read it). anyway, does anybody have good arguments for why it should be banned? help is mucho appreciated.
