Will the Republicans be able to agree on a candidate for 2012?

I heard this morning that poling is showing that Romney is neck and neck with Obama because 9 out of 10 American's are negative on the economic prospects of the near and long term. Basically they want to switch out the black left leaning moderate, with the white left leaning moderate.. But it will be interesting to see if Romney survives the Primaries.
