Boyfriend says my backside is too narrow?

I've liked a young man for about 4 months.The other day he said my bottom is too narrow, what would you do? How can a person help their backside not be narrow? Is this wrong of me to think it? I really like the person,but if he liked me,he wouldn't insult me would he?
